Motul Sepang 12 Hours : Audi leading at halfway point

The #15 Audi Sport Team Phoenix R8 of Robin Frijns, Christopher Haase and Intercontinental GT Challenge leader Laurens Vanthoor is leading the Motul Sepang 12 Hours at the halfway point. The car took the lead during a rain shower in the fifth hour of the race, when they were one of the first cars to shod rain tyres.

In second is the sister car, the #16 Audi Sport Team Phoenix R8, some 42 seconds behind the leader and 30 seconds in front of the #911 Manthey Racing Porsche. The #50 Spirit of Race Ferrari had an unlucky tyre choice and dropped some places to fourth. The #912 Manthey Racing Porsche lost a lap with a minor technical issue and is now in sixth, behind the #88 Jloc Lamborghini.

In the GTC class the #67 GDL Asia Lamborghini and the #26 B-Quik Racing Audi are still hard at it and still in the same lap, and the same goes for the GT4 category, with the #69 and #55 Ginettas only separated by 25 seconds. The MARC category duel is turning into the favour of the #93 Mazda 3, enjoying lead of almost a lap. The #65 Viper Niza Seat is having a tough time, with some mechanical gremlins, while the Touring Car division is led by the #100 Toyota, despite a drive-through.
