PRE-QUALIFYING: Ferrari dominates at Valencia as Kessel leads AF Corse

Ferrari topped a third consecutive session at Circuit Ricardo Toromo Valencia as Kessel Racing led a Pre-Qualifying one-two-three for the Italian marque.

Dennis Marschall set the time – a 1m31.992s – during the second half of the one-hour session, edging ahead of the twin AF Corse Francorchamps Motors cars driven by Alessio Rovera and Vincent Abril respectively.

The Ferrari trio was followed by three cars from the Mercedes-AMG camp. The title-chasing #48 Winward Racing machine of Lucas Auer was fourth, followed by Boutsen VDS duo Cesar Gazeau (#10) and Maxime Martin (#9). Gazeau also paced the Silver Cup classification by a comfortable margin.

Seventh spot went to the #89 Lionspeed GP Porsche of Bastian Buus, placing the Danish driver six spots behind his Bronze Cup title rival Marschall. The best of the Gold Cup runners was Gilles Magnus in the #25 Saintéloc Racing Audi, which ended Pre-Qualifying in eighth spot overall.

The top 10 was rounded out by a pair of title contenders: Marvin Kirchhöfer was ninth in the #59 Garage 59 McLaren, followed by Patric Niederhauser in the #96 Rutronik Racing Porsche. The points-leading #32 Team WRT BMW was 29th overall.

The session ran entirely without interruption following the track repairs that were carried out during this morning's Free Practice. Cars will be back on track tomorrow at 09:00 for Qualifying, which is followed by the penultimate Sprint Cup race of 2025 at 14:15. All of the action will be streamed live on the GT World YouTube channel
