The #74 Kessel Racing Ferrari led a shortened Free Practice session at Circuit Ricardo Tormo Valencia, which was red flagged around the hour mark due to problems with the track surface.
Dennis Marschall set a 1m32.156s to beat fellow Ferrari driver Chris Lulham (#69 Emil Frey Racing) to the top of the times by 0.112s. This meant that the first two places were filled by contenders from the Bronze and Gold classes respectively.
Third overall also went to a Gold runner with Thomas Fleming setting a 1m32.318s aboard the #58 Garage 59 McLaren. P4 went to the #992 Paradine Competition BMW, which topped the Silver Cup order with Maxime Oosten at the wheel.
The quickest Pro car was fifth on the overall order. Mateo Villagomez posted the lap aboard the #35 Walkenhorst Motorsport Aston Martin, which lost time during yesterday's test session to a technical gremlin.
The remainder of the top consisted of the #777 AlManar by Team WRT BMW; the #88 Tresor Attempto Racing Audi; the #63 Grasser Racing Lamborghini; the #30 Team WRT BMW; and the #10 Boutsen VDS Mercedes-AMG. All 39 cars were on-track during the session.
Proceedings were brought to a close after roughly one hour as track repairs were necessary, causing a red flag. After a long stoppage, the decision was taken not to resume running at midday; as such, there is a considerable delay to Friday's original timetable. Pre-Qualifying was scheduled for 15:00 but is now unlikely to begin before 16:30. Follow the GT World Challenge social channels for further information.
