A unique atmosphere and an unmatched connection between the competitors and a fanbase that grows more passionate each year: without doubt, the 2025 CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa Parade will live long in the memory.
On Wednesday evening, scores of spectators lined the roads between Francorchamps and Spa city centre; indeed, initial estimates suggest more than 10,000 people experienced this year’s Parade. In addition to the full field of GT3 cars competing in the 24 Hours, fans got a close-up look at competitors from the support races, as well as a range of supercars. They included the Maserati MCXtrema; Ferrari’s SF90XX, 296, Purosangue, Roma Spider and 12Cilindri; the Ford Mustang Dark Horse R; an Audi RS6; a range of BMWs, including the M4 CS; a Porsche 911 GT3; and even more machinery from Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG and Aston Martin. Among the favourites, the Marc VDS BMW Z4 GT3 that won in 2015 brought an added touch of nostalgia.
Displayed in front of the magnificent Parc de Sept Heures and on the Place Royale, the cars were photographed from all angles while the drivers gathered under the Galerie Léopold II for an autograph session and interviews. There were plenty of selfie opportunities, much to the delight of the crowd.
Following the traditional drivers' briefing in the Casino de Spa’s Petit Théâtre, the cars left at around 21:00 to make their way back to Spa-Francorchamps. The roads were just as busy on the return journey, this time with headlights guiding the way. It was a perfect example of the unique atmosphere for which the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa is famous.
The support series and the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa contenders will be on-track on Thursday. McLaren Trophy Europe stages its opening practice session at 09:00, while the GT3 cars will be in action from 11:20. Thursday will also see the launch of the Fan Village and its activities, bars and restaurants, while the live music begins when Be 80’s perform in the paddock. With Qualifying at 21:15, the atmosphere promises to be electric.
