Jeroen Bleekemolen shows his hand in first free practice

Sunny conditions for the first free practice for the third round of the Blancpain Sprint Series at Zandvoort. 20 GT3 cars took to the track, and very quickly the local specialists were on top of the rankings. Jeroen Bleekemolen set the quickest time in the #28 Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini and was the only driver to get below the 1’40 barrier, in 1’39.420. Series newcomer Jaap van Lagen, at the wheel of the #21 Tonino Team Herberth Porsche, was second for the best part of the session, but Stefano Rosina managed to make it a Lamborghini 1-2, by putting the #88 Reiter Engineering machine in front of the Porsche. The session was briefly interrupted by a red flag, when Fabio Odini and his #60 Bhaitech McLaren ended up in the gravel trap at the Scheivlak corner.

Vincent Abril (#4 Belgian Audi Club Team WRT Audi) was quickest in the Silver Cup, Marc Basseng (#5 Phoenix Racing Audi) was the fastest of the Pro-Am drivers.

The second free practice starts this afternoon at 17.10.
