Emil Frey Lexus Racing

Lexus RC F GT3

The Emil Frey Racing division was established at the end of the 1960s and continued successfully under Walter Frey’s reign until 1980s.
It was not until the end of 2010 that the decision was made to give the once legendary Emil Frey Racing team a new lease of life. In 2015, after a great achievements of Toyota Swiss Team, Emil Frey has been offered directly be the Chief Engineer, Yukihiko Yaguchi, to operate the Lexus RC F GT3 at the VLN Championship. For Emil Frey it was a great honour, as only 6 of these vehicles have been produced worldwide. We have started our operations at the famous Nürburgring in 2015 and 2016 and completed two seasons in VLN. In 2017, the new RC F GT3 Model Year’17 arrived, and we were asked to upgrade to a more demanding series, the International GT Open. With completely new car, new team and no prior experience in the championship, we managed to finish the season with a phenomenal result – 3rd place overall in Team’s as well as Driver’s championship.
This season we are taking the project to a higher level again and competing in the most prestigious GT3 series against all the professional, manufactory-backed teams – the Blancpain GT Series.
