Bortolotti tops pre-qualifying as well

Just like in free practice, it was Mirko Bortolotti in the #63 Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini who topped the standings at the end of the session. The Italian lapped the Circuit Paul Ricard in 1'57.708, which was 0.131 quicker than the #333 Rinaldi Racing of Monza winner Norbert Siedler. In third was the #84 Bentley Team HTP Continental of Vincent Abril, closely followed by the #77 BMW Sports Trophy Team Brasil of Atila Abreu. With the #99 Rowe Racing Mercedes and the #73 MRS GT Racing Nissan next, that makes for six different brands in the top-6.

In Pro-Am the #12 TDS Racing BMW of Franck Perera was quickest, and in Am the fastest car was also a BMW, the #15 of Boutsen Ginion, with Olivier Grötz at the wheel. The session was marred by a couple of red flag interruptions, one of them after the #50 AF Corse Ferrari hit the tyre wall. Driver Garry Kondakov was taken to the medical centre for a check up.

Tomorrow sees the qualifying session at 10.05, with the 1000 km. race starting at 17.00.
