Ferrari Festival in Free Practice

11 April 2015

With seven cars in the top-10 Ferrari dominated the free practice session of the 2015 Blancpain Endurance Series Monza event. The whole of the top-4 was occupied by the Prancing Horse, all driven by Pro-Am drivers. Quickest was Norbert Siedler, in the #333 Rinaldi Racing Ferrari, lapping quicker than last year’s pole position.

Sunny conditions greeted the drivers of the 2015 Blancpain Endurance Series, eager to test their cars on the Monza track. It quickly became clear that the Ferrari 458 Italia feel well at home at the Italian temple of speed, with Norbert Siedler lapping in 1’47.566. That time of the #333 Rinaldi Racing Ferrari, one tenth of a second quicker than the 2014 poletime of Alvaro Parente, would remain on top of the table until the end of the session.

The complete top-4 was occupied by drivers of the Pro-Am Cup, all at the wheel of a Ferrari. Laurens Vanthoor (#1 Belgian Audi Club Team WRT Audi) was quickest of the Pro Cup in 5th overall, Andrey Birzhin (#25 Glorax Racing Ferrari) fastest in the Am Cup and 17th overall.
