*** Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed paced Free Practice 2 at Portimão after Fabian Schiller posted a 1m42.988s aboard the #17 car.
*** Dylan Pereira was second overall, keeping the #99 Tresor Attempto Racing Audi on top of the Gold Cup. Pereira was 0.096s adrift of Schiller's benchmark.
*** Third overall went to the #65 HRT Ford Racing entry of Maxime Oosten. This car also led the way in the Silver Cup, having won the class last time out at the Nürburgring.
*** Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing was fourth quickest with Chris Lulham at the controls. Max Verstappen and Ben Barnicoat were also back behind the wheel during FP2.
*** Mikäel Grenier was P5 in the #12 GetSpeed Team Dubai entry, topping the Bronze Cup order in the process. This made it three AMGs in the overall top five.
*** The only incident of note was the #63 TGI Team by GRT Lamborghini coming to a halt early in the session. The car did not run again and was classified 60th among the 61-car field.
*** There were no other incidents during the 90-minute run, nor during the preceding Free Practice session.
