While there is still plenty of racing left to come in 2026, plans for the 2027 GT World Challenge powered by AWS season have already been finalised. Not only is the full calendar now officially confirmed, but evolutions to the annual Prologues – as well as a brand-new addition – have also been announced.
The traditional Season Prologue at Circuit Paul Ricard retains the date that was introduced this year, with track action taking place on Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 April. In a significant development, this will now consist of two full days of running at the French track and once again falls immediately ahead of the season-opening six-hour race.
The GT4 European Series is a very familiar presence at GT World events, with all six of its rounds taking place alongside the premier GT3 category. In a brand-new initiative for 2027, the series will complete its own day of Prologue running on Thursday 15 April. This represents a major evolution for GT4 Europe, giving teams and drivers a chance to prepare for the season before official track action begins on Friday 16 April.
Next year's CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa Prologue will also introduce an important change. The two-day event will now run on Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 June, just one week before the parade to Spa city centre officially launches the biggest GT race in the world. With the free-to-attend Spa Speedweek falling in between on 18–20 June, the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa Prologue will kick off an epic two-week marathon at the Ardennes venue.
Next year's schedule race schedule has also been officially confirmed, with no changes to the dates announced by Stéphane Ratel during his CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa press conference. It includes two new events at Imola (Endurance – 21–23 May) and Hungaroring (Sprint – 1–3 October).
Two rounds remain in the 2026 campaign. The Sprint Cup decider takes place at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on 2–4 October, followed by the closing Endurance Cup race at Portimão on 16–18 October.
