The #17 Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed entry that provisionally topped qualifying at Spa-Francorchamps has been penalised for a pit lane infringement, dropping the car to the rear of the field.
Unpermitted work was carried out on the right rear of car between Q3 and Q4, contravening the sporting regulations. This was shown during the live TV coverage. All times have been deleted, meaning the crew of Martin/Götz/Schiller will start towards the rear of the 69-car grid. A final classification for the session is yet to be published.
The beneficiary is another Mercedes-AMG squad, with Team Motopark moving into P32 and thus taking the final Superpole slot. The session will start at 15:05 on Friday afternoon.
