2026 ENTRY: Comtoyou Racing reveals plans for three-car GT World assault with Aston Martin

2026 ENTRY: Comtoyou Racing reveals plans for three-car GT World assault with Aston Martin

Comtoyou Racing has announced plans to run three full-season cars in GT World this season. The Aston Martin squad is targeting the Pro, Silver Cup and Bronze Cup classes in both Sprint and Endurance as it looks to add to its famous victory at the 2024 CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa.

Comtoyou won the event's centenary edition thanks to the #7 crew of Nicki Thiim, Marco Sørensen and Mattia Drudi (below). The three Aston Martin factory drivers are set to continue their partnership for a third consecutive season, forming one of the most popular line-ups on the grid.

The #7 will also compete in Sprint this year. Thiim will lead the charge alongside Kobe Pauwels, who won the Silver Cup class in Sprint with Comtoyou last term. Pauwels was recently named as the winner of the 2025 Aston Martin Academy programme and is considered a future star of GT racing.

The 21-year-old Belgian is also part of Comtoyou's #21 crew in Endurance. Competing in the Silver Cup, he will partner Oliver Söderström  – who moves across from fellow Aston Martin squad Walkenhorst – and Sébastien Baud. The latter has previously driven for Dinamic, Boutsen VDS, HRT and GetSpeed.

In Sprint, the #21 will be shared by Söderström and series newcomer Arthur Dorison. The 17-year-old has a very impressive record in karting and was runner-up in last season's FFSA F4 French Championship. This will be his first taste of sportscar racing.

Finally, Comtoyou will field the #11 Aston Martin in the Bronze Cup. Its Endurance line-up consists of a trio of drivers from the Americas: Brazil's Marcelo Tomasoni, U.S. racer A.J. Muss, and Kyle Marcelli from Canada. Tomasoni joined the GT World grid last year at the wheel of a BMW, while both Muss and Marcelli are set for their series debuts.

In Sprint, Tomasoni will share the #21 with Felice Jelmini. The 30-year-old Italian was part of the same BMW squad as Tomasoni last term and is now set for his first competitive campaign in an Aston Martin.

For each of its three entries, Comtoyou has one driver competing in the same class across Sprint and Endurance. As such the Belgian team will target full-season title success with Thiim (Pro), Söderström (Silver) and Tomasoni (Bronze).

The 2026 GT World season gets underway at Circuit Paul Ricard on the weekend of 11/12 April, preceded by the official Prologue on 8/9 April. The opening Sprint Cup contest will take place at Brands Hatch on 2/3 May. Tickets for both of these events and others – including the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa – are on sale now.
