- Four series to run alongside this summer’s CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa
- A host of GT action from the GT4 European Series powered by RAFA Racing Club, the GT2 European Series powered by Pirelli, McLaren Trophy Europe, and Lamborghini Super Trofeo
- Eight races on the schedule before the start of the 24 Hours at 16:30 on Saturday 28 June
A great recipe requires many ingredients. The highlight of the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa is of course the biggest GT race in the world, but there is so much more to enjoy: live music, entertainment, exhibitions, a fan village, a Ferris wheel, a kids' zone, bars and restaurants, and the support series. Indeed, no fewer than eight support races will run this year, providing fans with non-stop action ahead of the start of the 24 Hours on Saturday at 16:30.
GT4 European Series powered by RAFA Racing Club
With over 40 cars and 10 manufacturers represented, the GT4 European Series powered by RAFA Racing Club is one of the highlights of the event. All three classes promise plenty of action, with the first 60-minute race starting shortly before sunset at 21:10 on Friday, and another on Saturday at 12:10.
Variety is key, with entries (in order of cars) from BMW, Porsche, Aston Martin, Mercedes-AMG, Toyota, McLaren, Audi, Ford, Ginetta, and Lotus. Between the Silver Cup, Pro-Am, and Am classes, the list of competitors is diverse. There are semi-professionals and amateurs, while the majority of the field is made up of young drivers looking to pursue a career in GT racing.
French duo Benjamin Lariche and Robert Consani (Team Speedcar Audi) lead the Silver Cup heading to Spa. German drivers Hendrik Still and Joachim Bölting (W&S Motorsport Porsche) top the Pro-Am standings, while another French pairing – Jean-Mathieu Leandri and Antoni De Barn (Chazel Technologie Course BMW) – hold the advantage in Am.
GT2 European Series powered by Pirelli
The GT2 European Series has established itself as a key support race for the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa. Fast and spectacular, the cars are certainly popular with fans. Two 60-minute races are scheduled (Friday at 14:55 and Saturday at 09:20) with five manufacturers represented: Maserati, Lamborghini, Mercedes-AMG, KTM and Audi. Two separate classes compete at the same time: one for Pro-Am crews, and one for Am crews. The latter allows either two Bronze drivers, or one Bronze running solo.
In Pro-Am, Bronek Formanek and Stefan Rosina (Micanek Motorsport powered by Buggyra) have claimed three wins from a possible four and are comfortably out front with their Lamborghini. In the Am class, 2024 champion Philippe Prette (LP Racing Maserati) has made a dream start to his title defense with three victories. Can he continue his streak at Spa?
Lamborghini Super Trofeo
Lamborghini Super Trofeo is back. For the 16th time in 17 editions, the one-make series – which has been organised by the Sant'Agata Bolognese brand since 2009 – will be part of the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa support line-up. With around 40 examples of the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, each powered by a 620-hp 5.2-litre V10 engine, fans can expect the spectacular during two 50-minute races, the first on Friday at 17:55 and another on Saturday at 13:40.
The series has allowed many young talents to emerge. The current Pro leaders dream of following in their footsteps. Enzo Geraci is 18 years old and already a member of the Lamborghini Young Driver Programme, while his teammate is 21-year-old Czech racer Josef Knopp.
Georgi Dimitrov and Stéphan Guerin (CMR) hold a clear lead in Pro-Am, but the battle is closer in the Am standings with just three points separating Piergiacomo Randazzo / Stéphane Tribaudini (VSR) from Adrian Lewandowski (GT3 Poland). Finally, the Lamborghini Cup is led by Claude-Yves Gosselin (Rexal Villorba Corse).
McLaren Trophy Europe
Part of the event in 2023 and 2024, McLaren Trophy Europe is fast becoming a fixture at the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa. This year has seen upgrades made to the Artura Trophy Evo, adding more downforce, an improved axle and wider tyres, while a push-to-pass system provides a quick boost from 585 to 620 horsepower.
Another new feature is the creation of a Pro class, which pairs two drivers classified Silver by the FIA, alongside Pro-Am (a Pro driver sharing with a Bronze) and Am (Bronze drivers only). Jayden Kelly and Michael O'Brien have dominated the opening phase of the season in Pro, while Ryan James and Oli Webb hold a stout advantage in Pro-Am, and Danny Henry is only one point ahead of Tim Docker in Am. The event’s twin 50-minute races are scheduled for Friday at 13:35 and Saturday at 10:50.
The CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa will offer almost non-stop track action from Thursday 26 June at 09:00 until Sunday at 16:30 when the checkered flag falls on the main event. The full ticket offering is available on the official website: www.crowdstrike24hoursofspa.com.
