Zolder round of the Blancpain GT Series postponed by a week

The penultimate round of the Blancpain GT Series at Zolder has been postponed by one week and will now take place on the weekend of 18/19 October 2014.

The change has been made to allow the largest number of teams to take part in this impressive weekend of racing, two weeks before the final round of the Blancpain GT Series in Azerbaijan : the Baku World Challenge (1/11 - 2/11).

The Belgian circuit has always played an important part in the history of SRO Motorsports Group’s different GT series. This will be the 11th year that one of SRO’s international GT series will race at Zolder, and the 8th in succession : FIA GT Championship (1999-2000-2001-2007-2008-2009), FIA GT3 European Championship (2009-2010-2012), FIA GT1 World Championship (2011-2012) and the FIA GT Series in 2013.

Last year, Peter Kox (NLD) and Stefan Rosina (SVK), in the Lamborghini Blancpain Reiter GALLARDO FL2 GT3, took the first place on the podium at the Belgian circuit, after a thrilling FIA GT Series main race.
