Calm before the storm in Free Practice

Under a cloudy sky the teams for the opening round of the Blancpain Endurance Series in Monza took to the track for Free Practice. Most of the teams used the session to determine a set-up or to give their drivers time to familiarize themselves with the track or the car.

#26 Sainteloc Racing’s Grégory Guilvert was the first to set a reference time with his Audi, and his 1:48.341 remained on top of the standings until Giacomo Petrobelli in the #11 Kessel Racing Ferrari clocked a 1:48.044. His time proved to be the quickest of the session.

Two notable incidents during the session: the #99 ART Racing McLaren and the #41 Sport Garage Ferrari got stuck in the gravel trap, but were able to rejoin the track.
