GetSpeed to start in the 2020 GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS Endurance Cup
  • Alessio Lorandi, Fabian Schiller and Maximilian Buhk confirmed
  • Imola, Nürburgring and Circuit Paul Ricard on the program
  • Participation Total 24 Hours of Spa still to be confirmed

After only one season as a Mercedes-AMG customer team, GetSpeed confirmed three races of the GT World Challenge Europe for 2020.

"It is important for us to take the step into international GT3 sport now," says Team Principle Adam Osieka. "We celebrated great successes on our home circuit at the Nürburgring right from the start. Now we're going to take the next step and will be facing the competition across Europe. Our goal is to then compete in the entire season of the GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS in 2021 - Sprint and Endurance.”

Alessio Lorandi will be behind the wheel of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 alongside the experienced GT3 driver Maximilian Buhk and GetSpeed regular driver Fabian Schiller. In the past, the 21-year-old Italian Lorandi has celebrated victories in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship and in the GP3 Series, among others. Now the next step in his career is coming up with his first GT3 season. "GetSpeed has gained reputation as a top team in the GT3 world within a very short time", he says. "To race alongside such experienced drivers like Maxi Buhk and Fabian Schiller will be a huge challenge for me. The change from a single-seater to the GT3 is also a big step and offers me a new perspective for my racing career. I can hardly wait for the season to kick off.”
