Total 24 Hours of Spa and RTBF to display Boutsen Ginion BMW M6 GT3 at Brussels Motor Show

10 January 2020

The BMW M6 GT3 run by Boutsen Ginion Racing at last year's Total 24 Hours of Spa will be displayed at the upcoming Brussels Motor Show (10-19 January), recognising the long-standing link between the legendary event and Belgian national radio and television broadcaster RTBF.

With a roll-call of the world's leading automotive brands set to be present, 2020 will represent the 98th edition of the famed Brussels Motor Show. The RTBF display is located in Hall 6 of Brussels Expo at the Heysel, and reflects a partnership that has seen the broadcaster air extensive action from the Total 24 Hours of Spa over many years.

As a member of the BMW family, the M6 GT3 holds an important place in the Ardennes race's illustrious history. Indeed, the same model claimed overall victory in 2016 and 2018, extending the Bavarian marque’s record number of wins at the event to an unrivalled 24. Boutsen Ginion Racing tackled the 2019 edition using the M6 GT3, flying the Belgian flag at the country's premier endurance contest.

As well as getting a closer look at the car, visitors to the RTBF stand will be able to enter a competition to win tickets for the 2020 Total 24 Hours of Spa. With the grand prize consisting of VIP weekend tickets for two people to the marquee event of GT World Challenge Europe and the Intercontinental GT Challenge, this unique opportunity is not to be missed.

The Brussels Motor Show will be open to the public between Friday 10 and Sunday 19 January.

The 2020 running of the Total 24 Hours of Spa will begin in earnest on Wednesday 22 July with the annual parade to Spa town centre. This is followed by practice and qualifying on Thursday and Friday (July 23/24), with the race playing out across Saturday and Sunday (July 25/26).

Tickets for the 2020 Total 24 Hours of Spa are already on general sale, launching the countdown to what will be a landmark edition of the world's biggest GT race.
