Emil Frey Jaguar Racing to race at Total 24 hours of Spa

One week ahead of the initial last race for the GT3 Jaguar in the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup at Misano, Emil Frey Jaguar Racing has confirmed its participation in two additional races. The #54 GT3 Jaguar will further start in the Total 24 hours of Spa as well as in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup season final at Barcelona in September.

With the decision to add two more races, the Swiss Jaguar Team keeps its chances for winning the Silver Cup open, whilst currently running in third place in the standings.

The decision to compete in further races was taken after the good start to the season with the race-win in Monza, the nearly-missed win in Silverstone and third place in the Paul Ricard 1000kms.

“We are very pleased to announce to all Jaguar Fans, that we are driving two more races after Misano. Our team experienced many highs and lows in past years. This year, we have been consistently proofing the GT3 Jaguar´s performance. Of course, the Jaguar project with the custom-developed GT3 is close to our hearts. We are excited to hopefully show some further good races”, explains Lorenz Frey, Team Principal Emil Frey Racing. “The potential of the GT3 Jaguar was visible during winter testing and the following successes and good performances confirmed that. Therefore, we as a team have taken to the decision to also race at Spa and Barcelona. Especially the Total 24 hours of Spa will be a great challenge. Furthermore, we have good chances of ending the season in the Top-3 of the Silver Cup and this would be a nice farewell to the GT3 Jaguar.”
