A one-hour free practice session - the first half of which served as a Bronze test - started the sunny Brands Hatch Blancpain GT Series weekend on Saturday morning.
Although interrupted twice by a red flag for minor mishaps, the session went largely incident-free. In the end, there were no fewer than eighteen cars within the same second, with the #86 HTP Motorsport Mercedes-AMG topping the timing sheets with a 1'24.862. Right behind were the # Belgian Audi Club Team WRT R8 and the #63 Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini, the first of the Silver Cup cars.
Fastest in Pro-Am was the #87 AKKA ASP Mercedes-AMG, the car of Jean-Luc Beaubelique and Morgan Moullin-Traffort. The second one-hour free practice session will start at 2 pm.
