New cars in action @ Blancpain GT Series Test Days (part 2)

Next Wednesday the Official Test Days for the 2016 Blancpain GT Series start at Circuit Paul Ricard. One of the cars present will be the new BMW M6 GT3, the machine which replaces the highly successful BMW Z4 GT3.

There are no two cars that could be more different than the BMW Z4 GT3 and the M6 GT3. One only has to look at the new weapon of the Bavarian manufacturer to see that the M6 has a much more imposing presence on the track than its predecessor. Still, the M6 has big shoes to fill. With a win in the 2015 Total 24 Hours of Spa, the Z4 ended its GT3 career on a high and the expectations for the new M6 are very much so as well.

Three teams accepted the challenge to give the new BMW its first racing mileage in the Blancpain GT Series: ROAL Motorsport, Boutsen Ginion Racing and Rowe Racing. The Italian squad has not yet announced its line-up, but the German team has already acquired the services of Philipp Eng and Alexander Sims. At Boutsen-Ginion the experienced duo of Olivier Grotz and Karim Ojjeh will get the company of French youngster (he's just turned 18) Julien Darras.
