Attempto Racing to field two Huracán GT3s in the Blancpain GT Series

Attempto Racing has revealed its complete driver line-up for this year’s Blancpain GT Series: the German squad will field two Lamborghini Huracán GT3, and lines up with a squad of top-class drivers.

Switzerland’s Patric Niederhauser will share one cockpit in the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup with Italian Daniel Zampieri. This duo will be supported in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup by Lamborghini works driver Fabio Babini from Italy.

At the wheel of the second car in the sprint races will be Max van Splunteren of the Netherlands and Italy’s Davide Valsecchi. Valsecchi does not start on the endurance races. Instead, experienced Blancpain driver Louis Machiels - a former class winner in the Total 24 Hours of Spa -  from Belgium will be behind the wheel. Support at endurance races will come in the form of Dutchman Jeroen Mul (25). Together with Babini, Mul claimed the new Lamborghini Huracán GT3’s maiden victory in the Blancpain Endurance Series when they won the opening round of the 2015 season in Monza, Italy.

Arkin Aka (Managing Director of Attempto Racing): “I am delighted to participate in the Blancpain GT Series with such a strong squad of drivers. Our status as a works-assisted Lamborghini team has allowed us access to works drivers and drivers from the Lamborghini development programs. The Huracán GT3 has already shown what it is capable of, and we are definitely a force to be reckoned with. I am looking forward to the new season."
