At Circuit Paul Ricard the Blancpain 1000 proved to be an exciting dress rehearsal for the Total 24 Hours of Spa, but for Nissan trio Wolfgang Reip, Alex Buncombe and Katsumasa Chiyo it was a first win as well. And there were greater things to come!
Behind the Nissan the Bentley of Steven Kane, Guy Smith and Andy Meyrick was hot on its heels right until the night time finish, but it eventually had to concede the win. In third was a car that started from the pitlane, the #46 BMW Sports Trophy Team Marc VDS Z4, driven by Markus Palttala, Lucas Luhr and Maxime Martin.
