From Motor Valley to Geneva: GT World partner DESDER to join Geneva Watch Days

Following a successful start to the season in GT World, DESDER will take the next step in its journey next month when it heads to Geneva Watch Days, one of the industry's leading international events.

Following appearances throughout the 2026 season, the Modena-born independent watch brand and GT World partner will be hosted by renowned independent master watchmaker Luca Soprana in Geneva, offering collectors and watch enthusiasts a closer look at the D001 as well as the opportunity to discover its finer mechanical details directly through the watchmaker behind its development.

This represents the latest chapter in a partnership that has grown steadily throughout the season. From Monza to Misano, DESDER has become a familiar presence in the paddock, introducing the D001 to competitors, partners and fans while building a relationship founded on a shared appreciation for engineering, craftsmanship and innovation.

Held in the heart of Swiss watchmaking territory, Geneva Watch Days has quickly established itself as one of the industry's most influential annual gatherings, bringing together independent watchmakers, leading brands, retailers, collectors and international media.

Being in Geneva alongside Luca Soprana also marks an important moment for the project. One of Switzerland's most respected independent watchmakers, Soprana has spent time in the GT World paddock during the season, observing the meticulous preparation, teamwork and attention to detail that define modern GT racing. Throughout the experience, he witnessed a similar culture of engineering excellence: the same meticulous attention to detail, constant pursuit of precision and ingenious mechanical solutions that characterise fine watchmaking.

There is another timely connection between the championship and DESDER's journey to the heart of watchmaking.

As the D001 heads for Switzerland, Swiss competitors continue to play a prominent role in GT World Challenge powered by AWS. Swiss driver Ricardo Feller's resurgence with Lionspeed GP has been one of the standout stories of the Sprint Cup season – and he also formed part of the line-up that won the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa in June.

“The parallels are clear,” said DESDER founder Fabrizio Nardini. “I think everyone in the world of watchmaking and racing has a common appreciation for precision engineering and the intersection of form and function. In Geneva, we look forward to telling people more about our adventures in time together with GT World.”
