#Spa24h Race Updates: Part 3

∞∞∞ The #51 Ferrari wasn't having that! Mosca blasts past Güven and shows that Ferrari is still very much in this.

∞∞∞ Now the #51 Ferrari stops, but it's lost a place to the #22 Porsche. The Merc remains out front with Luca Stolz now at the wheel, while Bastian Buus remains in the Porsche.

∞∞∞ Clean stops for the #80 Porsche and, one lap later, the #48 Mercedes-AMG. The Merc remains out front with Luca Stolz now at the wheel, while Bastian Buus remains in the Porsche.

∞∞∞ The Porsche is the car to have at the moment. Guven passes Rossi to move the #22 into fourth spot, while Buus is going along nicely in the second-placed Lionspeed GP entry. Both cars are the hunt to win this.

∞∞∞ The 18th hour begins. The #111 McLaren stops briefly at the exit of Bruxelles, but it's rolling again and there's no need for an FCY.

∞∞∞ Racing again. The #48 Mercedes-AMG leads from the #80 Porsche and the #51 Ferrari, which has just passed the #46 BMW for P3.

∞∞∞ We have gone to a safety car, completed the wave-by, and can now think about returning to racing. Seven hours and 10 minutes left on the clock.

∞∞∞ The #48 Mercedes-AMG stops under full FCY and jumps the #80 Porsche. The #51 Ferrari is third and has just reset its stint time by passing through the pits

∞∞∞ FCY. The #23 RJN McLaren stops on start-finish. The car gets going again but we're staying under FCY and going safety car, presumably to allow marshals to clear the track.

∞∞∞ Fantastic action between Marciello and Güven. The #98 BMW and the #22 Porsche go wheel-to-wheel for pretty much half a lap, banging wheels as they go. Marciello keeps it, but this ain't over yet.

∞∞∞ A brief FCY ends the 16th hour. The #64 Ford came to a halt at the Bus Stop. That car has run brilliantly at times but it's now being retired.

∞∞∞ Lead change! The #80 Porsche takes advantage of traffic at the Bus Stop and nips past the #51 Ferrari. Preining and Nielsen respectively at the wheel of those cars.

∞∞∞ Bronze is shaping up nicely for a scrap between the #991 BMW and the #74 Ferrari. They're separated by half a minute and are pretty close on their Bronze driver time (a minimum of four hours). The #12 Mercedes is also in the hunt.

∞∞∞ And at the last round of stops the #80 Porsche jumped the #48 Mercedes to take P2. It won't be easy to fight the Ferrari but that car has done a fantastic car.

∞∞∞ The #80 Porsche has passed the #46 BMW for third and is now on the rear of the #48 Mercedes. We'll remind you for the hundredth time that this car started from the pit lane.

∞∞∞ It looks like the Thiim lost it by himself at the top of Raidillon and the front-left took the full impact. The team are working on the car now but Thiim has climbed out so it'll be a long one.

∞∞∞ Just as we say that, the #7 Aston Martin is limping back with what looks like front-left suspension damage. Nicki Thiim makes it back but that looks fatal to its chances of the win.

∞∞∞ After the top three we find the #80 Porsche, which has done a fantastic job from a pit lane start. Then it's the #50 Ferrari, the #7 Aston Martin and the #65 Ford

∞∞∞ We have a new leader – it's the old leader. Somehow, the #51 Ferrari has recovered from a disastrous puncture on Saturday evening and is back in front. The top three has flipped, with the #48 staying in P2 and the #46 back in P3.

∞∞∞ In the classes, the #998 BMW leads Gold following the demise of the #58 McLaren. It's the #65 Ford Mustang out front in Silver and running well overall. The #991 Paradine BMW is on top in Bronze with a good gap to the #74 Ferrari.  And in Pro-Am, the #999 Mercedes-AMG narrowly leads the #0 Chevrolet.

∞∞∞ So as we track towards the end of hour 14 the #46 BMW leads. The #48 Mercedes-AMG is a close second. The #51 Ferrari is an almost-as-close third. That can has done remarkably well to get back into the fight.

∞∞∞ The #58 McLaren was a major factor during the opening third of this race. But the car is out of contention – like the sister #59 – after pitting with radiator issues. Louis Prette is back on-track but he's running almost 30 laps off the lead.

∞∞∞ The second half of the race begins with Kessel's Bronze class #74 Ferrari classified first overall due to its pitstop sequence. MANN FILTER's Mercedes-AMG (Pro), #58 Garage 59 McLaren (Gold), #5 Optimum McLaren (Silver), and #999 GetSpeed Team PCX (Mercedes-AMG) complete the list of class leaders.
