It is never easy to predict a class winner at the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, but the Silver Cup is especially difficult. The majority of the drivers are young hopefuls aiming to make a name for themselves on the big stage, often fearless and ready to take risks. In a 24-hour race, this can lead to unpredictable results – and, on occasion, it can produce a truly sensational performance.
Make no mistake, this class is where you will find the stars of tomorrow: Luca Stolz, Fabian Schiller, Ricardo Feller, Mattia Drudi, Simon Gachet, Arthur Rougier, Benjamin Goethe – these are just some of the drivers who cut their teeth in the Silver Cup and now represent major manufacturers. So, who will impress in 2026?

It would be difficult to start anywhere other than the Tresor Attempto Racing crew that took a sensational overall win at Monza. Rocco Mazzola, Ariel Levi and Sebastian Øgaard top the class standings and will be brimming with confidence after their victory in Italy. The team knows how to excel at Spa – it won the Bronze Cup in 2024 and finished as overall runner-up in 2020 – so expect a strong challenge. It's worth noting that all Silver squads are set to add a fourth driver for Spa, with Mark Kastelic filling that role at Tresor Attempto.
Two more Silver Cup crews have really stood out this year: Pure Rxcing (Porsche) and Team WRT (BMW). They finished one-two in the opening Endurance Cup round at Circuit Paul Ricard and both were in the mix at Monza. The WRT squad is sure to be a fan favourite, with three Belgian drivers – Amaury Cordeel, Matisse Lismont and Mathieu Detry – alongside Argentine rookie Ignacio Montenegro.
Don't count out last year's winner returning to the top step of the podium. Walkenhorst Motorsport has a strong crew sharing its #35 Aston Martin, including defending winner Mateo Villagomez and SRO GT Academy winner Gaspard Simon. Fellow Aston Martin squad Comtoyou Racing could also be in the mix, its line-up including young Belgian ace Kobe Pauwels.

Whichever class they're competing in, you can never rule out AF Corse. The Ferrari heavyweight has two Belgians on its Silver Cup crew this year: Jeff Machiels and Gilles Stadsbader. GetSpeed Team Bartone Bros also looks strong with rapid Polish racer Karol Basz joining its regular crew of Panis/Gazeau/Bartone.
Experienced international teams such as Dinamic GT (Porsche), Rinaldi Racing (Ferrari), Team RJN (McLaren), Saintéloc Racing (Audi) and HRT (Ford) add further depth to the class battle. It's among this group that you'll find two of the most experienced Silver drivers, with David Perel (a former winner in Am and Pro-Am) and Ezequiel Perez Companc (Silver winner in 2021) representing Rinaldi and Saintéloc respectively.

McLaren has a strong Silver presence – and some very fast young drivers – across entries from Optimum Motorsport, Greystone GT and CSA Racing. And there's a brand-new entry, with Team Motopark making its series debut at Spa. It's crew includes Yannick Mettler – class winner in 2024 – and rookie Christian Mansell, who comes with a strong resumé in single-seater racing.
Does that narrow it down? Not really. As is so often the story with this class, you'll just have to watch to find out who delivers a star performance on the day. Whoever emerges at the front, it should be a great contest.
