- Free entry for children under 12 at the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa
- A fantastic Kids Zone, simulators, slot racing, and a funfair in the Fan Village
- Local schools to make a paddock excursion on Thursday
Children are the future of humanity. Today’s youngsters will become tomorrow’s motorsport fans, eventually sharing this passion with their own offspring. In this spirit, the CrowdStrike 24 Hours has paid special attention to their experience of the event.
Starting with the Parade on Wednesday 25 June (from 18:00 until 21:00), children will have the opportunity to enjoy the RTBF Auvio Kids face painting stand. Of course, it is on the track that they will truly understand the significance of the 24 Hours.
Admission is free for children under 12 accompanied by an adult – and they’re in for a real treat. Upon entering the Fan Village (accessed via Ster), a large Kids Zone – open Saturday 28 June and Sunday 29 June – will welcome all children up to the age of 12. They'll find a wide range of activities: bouncy castles, trampolines, ball pits, a playground, and more. There will also be a colouring area and a face-painting workshop. Parents of younger children have not been forgotten, with a changing table and a nursery area including a microwave for heating up meals.
Near to the Kids Zone, a funfair and a Carrera Slot Racing circuit are sure to draw plenty of attention. For older kids, there will be simulators to allow them to try their hand at sim racing, including the presentation of the new BMW M4 GT3 EVO and the Spa-Francorchamps circuit for Assetto Corsa EVO.
Because the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa also aims to foster accessibility, autograph sessions will allow youngsters – and the young at heart – to meet the stars of the world's greatest GT race. This is an experience sure to create unforgettable memories for all.
On Thursday, the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa will host several schools from the region. During this excursion, schoolchildren will have the chance to look behind the scenes at the circuit, as well as the garages of some teams. They will also be able to meet drivers, team managers, mechanics and journalists. In short, they will be properly introduced to the exciting world of motorsport, and the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa in particular.
Just like adults, children can also enjoy the entertainment, supercar and movie car exhibits, the Ferris wheel, and the fireworks. They'll also be able to watch the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa competitors battling on-track to win the world's greatest GT race, which will start at 16:30 on Saturday 28 June.
