Virtual meets reality at the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa
  • Fans can sample car and plane simulators on 26–29 June during CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa
  • Two new Assetto Corsa EVO models presented to the public in preview
  • An SRO Esports competition with superb prizes to be won via raffle

Matching the adrenaline rush of real-world racing is the principal objective of simulation. Fans attending the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa on 26–29 June will be able to fully appreciate the rapid rate of progress in this fast-expanding field.

At the entrance to the Fan Village (accessed via the Ster entrance), the simulation area is sure to attract plenty of attention – particularly with the space reserved for E-MOTION On Tour. Known for its premium simulation centres around Europe, E-MOTION will present its new travelling arena for sim racing. It houses 10 high-end simulators developed by Louis Perrot, a sim racer turned professional driver who has made participating in the world's biggest GT race one of his goals. E-MOTION's objective is to bring virtual racing as close to reality as possible by offering activations at highly prestigious events.

For the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, E-MOTION will partner with Kunos Simulazioni. The Italian studio has become the benchmark in automotive simulation thanks to Assetto Corsa (2014) and subsequently Assetto Corsa Competizione, which was released in 2019 and is the official game of GT World Challenge. In an ongoing effort to evolve, Kunos recently unveiled its new baby: Assetto Corsa EVO, which is available in Early Access while awaiting an official release date. Two major new features of Assetto Corsa EVO will be presented for the very first time in the Fan Village: an update version of the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, and the BMW M4 GT3 EVO.

But sim racing is also about the thrill of competition and pushing oneself to the limit. This is why SRO Esports will organise the very first official Esports competition on Assetto Corsa EVO. Completely free and open to all CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa attendees, it will feature a raffle that will allow a lucky few to win a BMW M4 GT3 steering wheel signed by BMW M Motorsports drivers. The first 400 participants will also receive a limited-edition t-shirt, and the three fastest will be invited to an awards ceremony on the podium, which will welcome the winners of the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa just a few hours later.

Next to the E-MOTION area, other simulators will allow fans to experience different sensations. With its traveling truck, EMP will offer the chance to slip into the cockpit of a virtual Formula 1 car, while DN Car Protect will unveil a spectacular chassis mounted on six jacks. Hold on tight – this is a real thrill!

Recently established at Spa-Francorchamps, Virtex Simulation will unveil its brand-new professional simulator during the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa weekend. Completely exclusive and primarily intended for professional teams and drivers wishing to prepare for upcoming races, this simulator – comparable to those used by Formula 1 competitors – promises to be a revolution in Europe. Presented to the press and teams as part of the 24 Hours.

And for those who can’t get enough, the Belgian Air Force will be present with two aircraft simulators located on the roof of the Pit Building. Climb aboard a virtual F16 or F35 and experience the sensations of a fighter pilot heading into battle. This is an experience not to be missed.
