Two weeks from today, the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa will officially launch with the traditional Wednesday evening parade to Spa city centre. The first practice sessions will follow on Thursday (free practice, pre-qualifying, qualifying, and night practice), while Superpole sets the top 20 grid positions on Friday. Saturday 28 June is the big day; everyone will be holding their breath when the 77th edition begins at 16:30.
Since the previous Endurance Cup round at Monza, teams and drivers have accelerated their preparations for the world's greatest GT race. With 76 cars on the entry list, the record number of participants in the GT era is expected to be broken this year; as such, the reveal of the fourth and final collector's edition poster is sure to excite fans.
Deep in the Ardennes forests, the ROWE Racing BMW M4 GT3 EVO leads a train of four GT3 cars with the hope of giving the Bavarian brand its 26th victory in this legendary event. In its wake, the Steller Motorsport Corvette Z06 GT3.R acknowledges the return of the American marque, which triumphed at the Belgian endurance classic in 2007 and 2009. We also see a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 and an Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II, both lying in wait, ready to seize the slightest opportunity as the night sets in.
Thanks to the skill of artist Guillaume Lopez, the unique atmosphere of the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa is once again revealed in this poster. It encompasses the setting sun on a summer evening, the on-track battle with braking for La Source, the large crowd, and the Fan Village with all its entertainment at the foot of Raidillon. Beyond the race, the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa is an automotive event that features three evenings of concerts (Thursday to Saturday), an exhibition of supercars and other exceptional vehicles, a Ferris wheel, food and drinks stalls, fireworks, all kinds of entertainment, a children's area, miniature trains for spectators, and more.
Like its three predecessors, this poster also highlights the event’s extensive programme of support races: a Maserati from the GT2 European Series powered by Pirelli; the Porsche driven by famous Indian actor Ajith Kumar in the GT4 European Series powered by RAFA Racing Club; a Huracán from the Lamborghini Super Trofeo; and an Artura Trophy Evo from the McLaren Trophy.
