Back on the schedule after a one-year absence, the 5.1km track in the Eifel Mountains will stage the penultimate long-distance event of the season on 29-30 July.

1. A LEGENDARY VENUE
After a one-year break, Fanatec GT Europe is back at the Nürburgring.
Nestled in the scenic Eifel mountains, this is a truly iconic venue. The upcoming race will be staged on the GP-Strecke, a 5.1km layout that has produced plenty of action over the years.
Next door you'll find the fearsome Nordschleiffe, host to the 24h Nürburgring, which becomes an Intercontinental GT Challenge Powered by Pirelli round next season.
It is one of those places where you can sense the history in the air. Every race fan must make the trip.

2. TITLES ON THE LINE
This being the penultimate endurance cup round of the season, there is a chance that titles could be settled.
The most likely is Pro-Am, where Car Collection Motorsport enjoys a sizeable advantage over its nearest rival; in contrast, the gap between first and second in the Bronze Cup is just four points.
History tells us that something will be decided this weekend, though we can also expect a few twists and turns ahead of the Endurance Cup finale.

3. ONE FOR THE LOCALS
No other event can boast the kind of local representation you'll find at the Nürburgring.
Machinery from Audi, BMW, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche makes up two thirds of the grid, while there are several teams based near to the circuit.
Germany also has more competing drivers than any other nation, led by CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa winner and championship leader Marco Wittmann.

4. SRO ESPORTS ACTION
As ever, there will be a significant esports element at the Nürburgring. This one is extra special as it’s a home event for Fanatec, whose industry-leading gear makes the virtual competition possible.
The on-site Fanatec Arena will stage two 60-minute Assetto Corsa Competizione races this weekend: one for the real-world GT stars, and another for their professional sim racing counterparts. The former counts towards the 2023 teams’ championship, while the latter features a significant prize fund.
Fans are encouraged to visit the Arena to check out the impressive kit on display and follow the esports action live.

5. A PACKED SUPPORT LINE-UP
As ever, there's plenty to enjoy this weekend beside Fanatec GT Europe and its virtual counterparts.
One-make racing takes centre stage at the Nürburgring courtesy of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo, McLaren Trophy Europe and Clio Cup Series. With equal equipment across each grid, you can be sure of ultra-close competition.
If that wasn't enough, there will be some epic hyper-sports cars courtesy of GT1 Sports Club Powered by Curbstone. Previous outings have featured such exotica as the Porsche 935, Lamborghini SCV12 and Isotta Fraschini Tipo 6 LMH Pista.
Whatever’s on-track at the Nürburgring, it’s guaranteed to be fast, loud and easy on the eye.
