JP Motorsport will adopt a special one-off livery this weekend to raise money for disadvantaged children.
The Polish squad runs a pair of McLaren entries at Fanatec Endurance events, both of which will compete in pink and blue at the Circuit Paul Ricard 1000km. The drivers' overalls will also take this colour scheme for the upcoming contest.
“Our motivation for the new livery is Children's Day on June 1st," the team explained in a statement. "We want to make privileged people, as racing drivers and other people in motorsports usually are, aware of thinking about children who do not have the same opportunities they may have had as children.
"After the race weekend the overalls of our drivers, which also get a new design, will be auctioned and the proceeds donated 100% to disadvantaged children. The campaign is additionally supported by our team members through monetary donations.”
JP Motorsport's #111 car competes with a Pro crew of Christian Klien, Vince Abril and Dennis Lind, who finished a fine fifth overall in the season-opening trip to Imola. The sister #112 has moved to the Gold Cup class for this weekend's race after contesting Imola in the Silver category. Patryk Krupinski and Maciej Blazek remain on board, with Joe Osborne joining as the designated pro driver.
The Circuit Paul Ricard 1000km is among the highlights of the racing calendar, challenging competitors to a six-hour contest that begins in daylight and ends in darkness. Live coverage of this weekend's event will be available across a variety of online platforms, including the GT World YouTube channel, with commentary in English, French, Italian and German.
