Hui puts Sky Tempesta Ferrari on top in Circuit Paul Ricard Bronze Test

Sky Tempesta Racing began the Circuit Paul Ricard 1000km on top of the timing screens by leading the way in this morning's Bronze Test.

The returning Jonathan Hui posted a 1m55.722s lap in the #93 Ferrari, beating the #20 SPS Mercedes-AMG by 0.429s. Martin Konrad was at the wheel of the SPS machine, while Tim Kohmann was third in the #11 Kessel Racing Ferrari. Click here for the full classification

A total of 18 cars participated in the one-hour session, including Pro, Silver Cup and Pro-Am entrants. It marked the beginning of an intense two-day schedule that will continue with free practice (15:00) and an evening pre-qualifying session (20:40), both of which will run for 90 minutes.

All of the competitive action takes on Saturday, with qualifying at 10:45 and the main event – a six-hour race from daylight into darkness – kicking off at 18:00. It represents the second round of this year's Endurance Cup and the third on the overall Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS calendar.

A handful of driver changes have been confirmed since the initial entry list was released last week. Ricardo Sanchez has swapped between Mercedes-AMG squads HRT and Madpanda Motorsport, while his place at the former will be taken by Gabriele Piana. Nick Moss joins the Inception Racing McLaren crew as third driver, just as Konrad has done at Mercedes-AMG squad SPS.

RAM Racing has brought in Fabian Schiller to replace Callum Macleod. Finally, the #107 CMR Bentley has been confirmed in the Silver Cup class for this weekend's race having run for Pro-Am honours at Monza. The crew of Nelson Panciatici, Stuart White and Gilles Vannelet remains unchanged. This weekend's live coverage will begin with tomorrow's qualifying session. All of action will be free to view on the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS website and across the championship's social media channels.
