R-Motorsport reveals Aston Martin livery for SRO E-Sport Championship assault

R-Motorsport has revealed the virtual livery that their Aston Martin Vantage GT3s will use throughout the upcoming SRO E-Sport Championship.

The GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS squad will enter three of its cars in the Pro category, which is reserved for real-world competitors, with a number of R-Motorsport's leading GT3 drivers set to feature.

The new colour scheme represents an update of the livery first used during last month's official GT World Challenge Europe test days at Circuit Paul Ricard and will be seen on the real-world R-Motorsport Astons once racing resumes.

“The main purpose for developing the new livery was to celebrate speed, motion and progress whilst keeping to its core brand colours of greys and blues,” explained the Swiss squad's team principal, Dr. Florian Kamelger.

Before the GT World Challenge Europe campaign gets underway R-Motorsport will tackle five Assetto Corsa Competizione races in the Pro category, which will run alongside Silver and Am classes for leading sim racers and public qualifiers respectively. The top performers from each category will progress to a grand finale.

ACC developers Kunos Simulazioni have worked with R-Motorsport to reproduce the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 with an outstanding level of detail. The real-world livery is achieved using a complex printed wrap overlaid on to a white base, allowing repairs to be managed more efficiently at the circuit.

The SRO E-Sport Championship will begin at Silverstone on 26 April, followed by rounds at Spa-Francorchamps (10 May), Nurburgring (17 May) and Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya (31 May). The racing venues for rounds five (13 June) and the grand finale will be decided by a public vote. Pre-registration is open now at www.sro-esport.com.
