Another full score for the SMP Racing Ferrari

The #72 SMP Racing Ferrari led the field of the 2019 Total 24 Hours of Spa at the halfway mark, just like it did after six hours. That gives Miguel Molina, Mikhail Aleshin and Davide Rigon another full basket of points.

Between the ninth and twelfth hour of the world's biggest GT3 race several Full Course Yellow situations were called, all as a consequence of the increasing rain and a couple of cars sliding off the track.

With the race neutralised several times, the lead of the #4 Mercedes-AMG Team Black Falcon was reduced to naught. Some of its competitors also took the opportunity to take their mandatory technical pitstop, which shuffled the rankings even more.

But the contenders for the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup kept in mind that there were important points to score at the halfway mark, and did everything they could to remain at the front of the leading pack, despite the difficult conditions.

Eventually, it was the #72 SMP Racing Ferrari that crossed the line in first after twelve hours, taking another important 12 points for the championship. The red, white and blue Ferrari had a small lead over the #999 Mercedes-AMG Team GruppeM Racing and the #4 Black Falcon car.

In Silver Cup the #90 AKKA ASP Team Mercedes-AMG is now in first, with former leader #5 Phoenix Racing Audi hitting trouble at the eleven hour mark. In second is the #78 Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini.

The Pro Am lead is still in the hands of the #97 Oman Racing with TF Sport Aston Martin, and in Am Cup the #77 Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini continues its run in first position.

With the race being neutralised again shortly after the halfway mark, any car still on the lead lap is still a candidate of taking the win in the Total 24 Hours of Spa.
